Woohoo! Lola, aka Lolita, Lollipop, Fluff Puff is feeling much better! She's no longer sneezing or sniffling. I'm very relieved. Now everyone in the house can finally relax.

In other news, I was browsing through Etsy listings and I found the cute, Maltese print above at www.wildwildthings.etsy.com. If you're an animal lover you will adore this shop. All of the listings in the shop are created by a mother daughter team: Dottie Dracos and Lara Aguilera-Mogensen.

Wait, it get's better. Almost all of the prints in the shop have matching necklaces and they can also make a custom portrait of your pet! Head over to their site today. Click it, heart it, cart it, and buy it!

Etsy Pounce - Wendy McMillan Prints

Sunday, May 23, 2010
Like the print above? Check out www.wm98102.etsy.com

I've decided to pounce on new shops with 0 sales at least once a week.

I have to say, I have no idea why Wendy McMillan's print shop hasn't been discovered. Although there currently isn't a policy section or shop announcement the listings speak for themselves. I love her Prints so I'm okay with only knowing that she's from Seattle.

Check out her work today and who knows, maybe you'll find something to hang on your wall.

Creation in a Dark Pit of Sadness

Thursday, May 13, 2010

I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss certain aspects of my youth. Although I constantly possessed the mood of a tortured soul I was also consumed in never ending inspiration. It's easier to focus on the light when you're surrounded in darkness.

These several years I've lost the ability to even grasp the concept of reaching such heights. I don't listen to music like I used to. I don't watch movies like I used to. Nothing is as passionate or intense as it used to be.

The strange thing is, my inspiration dwindled the moment I found true happiness. My inspiration vanished the instant I realized that life was incredibly beautiful. Am I crazy or what?

I suppose I'm one of those artists that finds the birth of creation in a dark pit of sadness. I guess that's why I'm in awe whenever I cross paths with an artist that can portray the beauty and hope that lies within extreme darkness.

♥ The print above is titled, "The Love Letter." It was created by fellow Etsian, BestArtStudios2. For those of you who are entranced by Tim Burton movies, abstract, pop and contemporary art I suggest you check this shop out today!

I had the pleasure of getting to know the artist behind FotoTale Designs a little more. Now it's your turn! Read what Sarah had to say below:

"Hello! I am a stay-at-home mother of two. I think my children are pretty cute, and I follow them around with the camera a lot! I am a HUGE scrapbooker! Up until my second child, I did all my scrapbooking traditionally and accumulated several thousand dollars worth of stuff that took up most of my office. After having my second child, I found that I no longer had time to spend hours making one page. It was also really hard to keep my 3.5 year old out of all my containers, so I went digital! I love the added freedom, the extra room in the office, and most of all, that my hours of work can be used again and again.

My husband is a computer programmer/graphic artist. he has been my go-to guy and mentor of the digital world! He has been begging me for years to go digital, and was quite relieved when I finally agreed. Although at times, I think he wants the computer back!

We decided to start up Fototale Designs so that we can help each other capture their special memories and display them in meaningful, artistic ways. We offer a wide variety of products and will be adding new stuff all the time. Our products are perfect for photographers who are looking for professional, easy to use templates to display their products to their clients; or, for individuals who are looking for cute, creative ideas for their scrapbooks or personal photo displays."

Foxes & Robbers - Beautiful Handmade Paper Goods

Saturday, April 24, 2010

It took just once glance for me to fall in love with all of the products Etsy seller, FoxesAndRobbers has in her store. Every single item in her shop is unique, handmade & absolutely stunning. Check out her shop today and check out what she has to say below:

"My name is Desiree and I currently live in Oakland, California with my boyfriend and our crazy little cat named Odin. I am a full-time server with degrees in both Architecture and Restaurant and Hospitality Management, but it wasn't until last year that I realized that I needed a new direction in life.

I have been creating things with my hands since I was little. As I've gotten older, work somehow became more important than art in my life. Once in awhile, I still dabbled with painting sculptures and such, but one day, I finally decided to be serious about having an art business, hence, Foxes and Robbers. Given the physical and mental restraints of my job and schedule, designing little pieces of art seems to be the most practical way to proceed.

Ever since Foxes and Robbers opened last Sept, I have been very lucky to have a great support system from my friends, family and fans. It is an incredible feeling when others recognize my work and all the love that I put into them. As I spend more time developing my shop, I hope to add more unique paper products and accessories for everyday's gift-giving needs!"

The Amazing, Casey McArdle

Saturday, April 17, 2010

It's no mystery that I'm completely and utterly in love with this kangaroo. I mean, who wouldn't fall in love with that face? He's irresistible! :P

In all honesty my admiration is dedicated to the artist behind the lense. Casey Mcardle, is a self taught, 19 year old photographer. She has a shop on Etsy, and if you haven't seen her work it's time you put everything down and head on over to her shop & her website.

These are her words:

"My name is Casey and I'm a 19 year old photographer from Brisbane, Australia, with a passion for photography in all shapes and forms. My love for photography took off when I studied a short photography course in my senior year of high school and I haven't looked back since! At first, I took all of my photographs using a standard hand held camera, though during my summer break last year, I saved up enough money to purchase my first DSLR.

I absolutely love being able to provide people with unique fine art that will be hung on people's walls and treasured for a lifetime. Over the coming months, I plan on adding a wide range of new photography items such as gift cards, note books, key chains and much more!"
